Privacy Policy
Who runs this site
This site and its single phone number are operated by Lexington Scene Recovery, an advertising and referral business. People in four Kentucky counties (Fayette, Scott, Clark and Montgomery) use the number to find help with biohazard, trauma, hoarding, sewage or decontamination jobs. None of that work is done by us. We are paid per call: a fee is earned when a call connects to an outside provider. This policy covers what happens to information from your call and from your visit to this website.
Information from phone calls
Each call leaves a basic record in the phone system: your caller ID, when the call came in, its length and the service area it went to. Calls may be recorded. During the conversation you may choose to give your name, street address, ZIP code and a short account of what happened. Share only what you are comfortable sharing; a street and a ZIP are usually enough to find a provider who works there.
This website
This site sets no advertising cookies and uses no analytics trackers. It has no contact forms, accounts or comment boxes. The only thing you can type into a page is a ZIP code in the "Check your ZIP code" box, which tells you whether that ZIP is inside the area the line serves. Normally the check runs in your browser against a coverage list downloaded from this site. If that does not work, the ZIP is sent to our own web server as part of the page request so the server can show the result. We do not save the ZIPs entered, share them, or link them to you or to any phone call.
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages may keep short-lived technical logs, such as an IP address, the page requested and the browser type, to keep the site working and secure.
How long records are kept
Call logs and recordings are kept only as long as reasonably needed for routing, billing between the line and providers, resolving disputes and meeting legal obligations, and then deleted. Providers you speak with keep their own records under their own policies, which you can ask them about directly.
Your choices
Nobody has to call, and hanging up ends the conversation. To learn what call records exist about you, or to request deletion where the law permits, call the line itself; the same number appears throughout the site. Please do not share medical details, account numbers or similar sensitive information on a call; they are not needed to connect you.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, this page will be updated. The version posted here is the one in effect.
