Advertising and Referral Disclosure
What this service is
Think of this website as an advertisement. Its purpose is to put callers in Lexington-Fayette and in Scott, Clark and Montgomery counties in touch with separately owned businesses that handle cleanup after crimes, deaths, injuries, hoarding, sewage backups and drug contamination. We are the go-between, not the cleaning company.
How we are paid
The line is paid on a pay-per-call basis. When your call connects to a participating provider, we receive a fee under our arrangement with that provider or with the call network it belongs to. We do not charge you for calling or for being connected. Because our income depends on calls connecting, you should treat this site as advertising and make your own decision about whom to hire.
Who does the work
Every cleanup job is performed by an independent provider, never by us. We do not own vehicles, employ technicians, supervise work, set prices or hold any trade credential. Providers are separate businesses responsible for their own staff, pricing, training, permits, insurance coverage and results. Contracts, invoices and warranties, if any, run directly between you and that business. Before work begins, ask the provider for a written scope, how biohazard waste will be handled, whether they bill insurance directly and what training their workers have, and verify anything that matters to you.
Call recording and forwarding
Calls to the line may be recorded. Your call and the details you give may be forwarded to the independent provider that serves your address. Our privacy policy explains this in more detail.
No medical, legal or insurance advice
Nothing on this site or said on a call is medical, legal, insurance or tax advice. General information about Kentucky law and public programs, such as the Crime Victims Compensation Board or the state's meth-decontamination rules, is offered to help you ask better questions and may not fit your situation or reflect later changes. For decisions, talk with your attorney, your insurance adjuster, a health professional or the agency involved.
Emergencies
Do not use this number in place of 911. Injuries, threats and a body just discovered all call for 911 first. When police or a coroner are involved, no provider can start work until they are done with the property and release it.
No endorsements
Mention of a public agency, hospital, place or law on this site does not mean that agency or business endorses us or any provider, and we do not rank, review or recommend specific companies. Place names are used only to describe the areas the line serves.
Questions
Questions about this disclosure, or about a call you placed, can go to the referral line itself.
